    Good Afternoon,

I am looking to get a pulse on member retention levels to assist us with a possible strategy. If you are willing, would you provide the number of members and your retention rate in 2014?

    Thank you in advance!

We have just under 700 lodging properties in membership, with a 91% retention rate.
    Good luck with your strategizing!

In 2014 we had 178 regular members (bowling centers).    In 2015 we lost 5 to non-renewal plus 2 to closure for a net loss of 7.  So our retention rate was 96%.

The good news is that with an aggressive membership effort throughout 2015, we currently have 185 member centers, out of a potential 324.

    Dana,

The Wisc Dental Assoc had 3,012 members at year end and with 142 non-renews giving us a 95.3% retention rate for 2015.  There are currently 3,616 licensed dentists.

That is a very broad-brush question.  We have 16,977 members, including our 36 state chapters.  Our national membership has been steady or increasing with a 2.7% five-year average, which is generally what we use in budgeting.  Our 36 state chapter memberships varies wildly from -41% to 48%, annually.

We find that the success of a state chapter is absolutely dependent on the leadership and ability to market, process the renewals and communicate with their membership.  Thus, to retain their national affiliation with us, we require annual verification of those items, ie. newsletter, website, incorporation docs, 990 filings, annual election, charge fee to cover running organization, etc

    Does that help?
