I’m trying to do some quick benchmarking before an upcoming Board meeting. I would appreciate any and all responses to the following questions. Please also specify your association type (professional society or trade association) and overall size (annual budget and staff positions).
- What “market share” does your association membership represent of the overall industry or profession it represents?
- What percentage of your members participate in your association’s activities (i.e., what percentage are not “checkbook” members)?
- What percentage of your members attend your annual conference?
- What percentage of your members participate in your industry data programs (i.e., provide you with information about their product sales or other confidential information)?
- What percentage of your members participate on your Board and leadership committees?
