Wearer of many hats? Oh yes. I think I've worn every style that the association management world has in stock. After 25 years of trying them all on, I'm content with a showy little number known as communications director - or as I like to call it, Countess of Communication.
That role keeps me busy in writing, graphic design, web management and social media. And with five full-time association clients, there's always something to get out of bed for.
I started my career at Executive Director, Inc. in Milwaukee, managing communications for the National Christmas Tree Association (proof positive that there's an association for everything). Taught myself desk-top publishing (Remember galley proofs anyone? Anyone?) and then started the Creative Services department there. A move to Madison brought me a long stint at the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and then a jump to my current role at AMPED.
