AssociationJobs.Org and How it Works

For job seekers
For employers/recruiters

AssociationJobs.Org was the first and remains the best Internet-based, fully-integrated job and résumé service in the profession. 15 state and local societies of association executives from coast-to-coast are partners in AssociationJobs.Org. Whether you're a job seeker or employer seeking employees … whether you're looking locally or around the nation, AssociationJobs.Org is where associations and careers really click!

To get started, go to www.wsae.org and click on the Find/Post a Job link or AssociationJobs.Org logo. You can also contact our dedicated AJO staff toll-free at 800-423-3235 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. central time. Here is a quick view of how the site works:

For job candidates
Candidates can access the service free of charge 24-hours a day. You can search through job postings by discipline, location and employer. When you find a job you are interested in, you can submit an online résumé with optional cover letter or contact the employer by e-mail, phone, fax or mail, based on the employer's preference. In order to create an online résumé, you either fill out our standard form or paste your previously prepared résumé into the résumé box.

You'll also have the option of posting your résumé for participating employers to view. You can post it as open which will reveal your name and contact information to the employer, or as confidential which will hide your name and contact information. Candidates posting confidential résumés will be contacted by employers via e-mail. You'll be able to create a short personal statement with your posted résumé as a headline to entice employers to view your information.

Along with posting your résumé, you can also sign up to receive e-mail job alerts when a job posting within your selected discipline and location is added to the system. For your convenience, the e-mail will contain a link directly to the new job posting.

An e-mail address is required in order to set up your personal candidate profile. A profile is needed to submit online résumés and cover letters, to post your résumé, and to receive job alerts.
The positions listed here are edited versions of the jobs recently posted by employers and may have been removed by the employer subsequent to publication of this issue of FORUM. Visit the site at www.associationforum.org and click on the Find/Post a Job associationjobs.org link to search the opportunities currently available.

For employers/recruiters
Use our streamlined, online tools to create an employer account and add, edit, remove or replace your job on the site. Once your job has been added, we will review it and contact you to confirm your job posting and make billing arrangements. You will have online access to résumés and cover letters that have been submitted to your posting, and may also receive inquiries by phone, fax, e-mail or mail, depending on the options you give the candidates. The site provides easy-to-use tools to help you organize your job postings and easily retrieve your responses. There is also an auto-reply function that allows you to save a reply template that you can easily modify and send off to candidates who have inquired about your position.

By posting your job on AssociationJobs.org, you will also have access to posted résumés on the Web site. You'll be able to sort them by discipline and desired location, in order to go directly to candidates who may be interested in your open position. Résumés posted under the open option will include candidate name and contact information. Résumés posted under the confidential option will not display name or contact information, but will include an option to send the candidate an e-mail.

In addition to searching posted résumés on the site, you can also sign up to receive e-mail résumé alerts when a candidate posts a résumé within your discipline and location parameters. The e-mail will contain a link directly to the candidate's posted résumé.

Job postings with posted résumé access can be placed for $195 for one month. Discounts apply for volume and longer term postings. Visit the Web site at
www.associationforum.org and click on the Find/Post a Job associationjobs.org link to sign up on the site, or e-mail us at associationjobs@artofsearch.com. You can also contact customer service at (800) 423-3235.
