On behalf of the Women’s Forum Planning Committee, I invite you to save the date for this year's Women's Forum on September 19 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Milwaukee. The goal for this second annual Women’s Forum conference is to expand on the success of the inaugural event held last September. In surveying our members, we learned about some of the key topics of importance to them which helped shape the program for this year’s event. The theme is Women Empowered: Building a Community. In designing the program, we wanted to ensure that it is diverse in representation, expertise and opportunities for our members to participate as speakers, moderators and panelists.

Our aim is to increase opportunities for attendees to participate and engage with one another in a space that is diverse, inclusive and balanced, building on the theme of community.

We encourage women and allies from early career to senior management and executives/CEOs to attend this conference, as there will be topics relevant to all professional levels and key takeaways for every attendee. Plan to leave reenergized, empowered and with new tools for success!

More information about the conference:
The WSAE Women’s Forum presents its second annual conference entitled: Women Empowered, Building a Community. This conference will bring together women and allies working in the association, non-profit and hospitality industries to learn from each other, share ideas, empower one another, celebrate successes and ignite meaningful relationships. Additionally, this conference will provide an experience that inspires women in our community to participate and support the development of women in their careers and as leaders.

Sessions will focus on networking, mentoring, building effective communication, career development in addition to covering the latest hot topics and trends. Take your career to the next level!

We are planning an outstanding program that will feature a diverse group of women leaders and professionals delivering concurrent sessions, panels, networking and collaboration with industry and local partner organizations.

Our keynote this year is Cecelia Gore, Executive Director for the Brewers Community Foundation

The preliminary program will be shared soon. However, here are just a few topics that we aim to address:
  • Communicating with confidence
  • Health and well-being and finding balance post-pandemic
  • Overcoming adversity/navigating conflict and achieving success
  • Unconscious bias/DEI strategies and inclusiveness in the workplace
  • Navigating your professional journey
  • Building your network and form partnerships

We encourage our allies to also attend! It takes a village to support and uplift one another and build community. Bring a friend or colleague and expand your network!

Please plan to join us on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Milwaukee. I hope to see you there!

Warm regards,
Marissa
