    Due to client acquisition, Association Acumen, LLC has a new position available working with two dynamic medical specialty groups. The position is responsible for directing the operations of the association in accordance with the bylaws, mission statement, strategic plan and policies and procedures established by the association. We are looking for a forward-thinking go-getter with a great track record in membership and marketing and an ability to provide visionary leadership and promote teamwork.     Essential Job Functions:

    • Leadership: In conjunction with the Academy President and with the external Executive Director, provides visionary leadership for the association and demonstrates the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in directing the operations of the association in accordance with the bylaws, mission statement, strategic plan and policies and procedures.
    • Operations: In conjunction with the Academy President and the external Executive Director, responsible for the effective operation of the association, the direction of activities, advising and making recommendations to the Board of Directors and ensuring the decisions and policies adopted by the board are fulfilled, including the strategic plan. Provides consultation to the President and board and external Executive Director regarding fiscal, legal, and contractual responsibilities of the association. Works closely with the board to create and develop opportunities for generating revenue streams for the association. Attends all board meetings and drafts minutes. Monitors and ensures a high level of customer service.
    • Membership: Coordinates membership and marketing activities for association clients, including organizing efforts that attract and retain members by drafting marketing plans, managing databases, drafting and sending member communications, participating in conference calls and maintaining rosters. Identifies methods of increasing and retaining membership. Guides renewal and recruitment processes. Mantains membership campaign, generates reports; sends dues notices. Liaises with leaders and committee chair.
    • Conference and meetings management: Responsible for supervision of all conference and online training educational coordination, speaker and meetings management. Solicits exhibitors, sponsors and grants.
    • Marketing, communications and publication coordination: Produces high-quality email and other marketing materials including content generation and graphics for membership, conference and all other promotions. Creates editorial timelines, content review, and content management systems for client newsletters and email communications, targeting appropriate audiences and distributes publications. Develops appropriate website content and creates and implements social media campaigns. Liaises with leaders and committee chair; generates reports and metrics to assess impact.
    • Database and website management: Creates and maintains current member databases, seeks new and creative ways to generate new contacts; monitors processes, including conference registration and mobile applications. Ensures that website is current, creative and navigable.
    • Any other duties or projects as requested. Some evening calls and travel required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Microsoft Office Expertise (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • 3-5 years of non-profit association management experience

    • Enjoy being thoroughly organized with great attention to detail; able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Be able to travel 4-6 weeks per year, attendance on evening calls required
