Influencing Strategies for the Association CEO
Vicki Kampmeier, ACC, SPHR, MSOD, Adjunct Faculty, Center for Professional & Executive Development, Wisconsin School of Business

Influencing is the power and ability to personally affect others’ actions, decisions, opinions or thinking.  As the CEO of your association, influencing others matters for your personal and organizational effectiveness, reputation and success.  However, it’s not easy to influence those we do not have direct authority over, like Board members, association members, prospective new members, regulators, etc. This engaging and highly interactive session will focus on the challenges of leading an association, and how influence techniques can help you obtain even greater results.

Vicki is a results-oriented leader with over 30 years experience in operational and human resource roles for a Fortune 1000 company. Her career has been guided by her devotion to helping others tap into their full potential. Vicki has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in organizational development. She is the founder and president of Kampmeier Investment Properties, and has recently started her own consulting practice, Katalyst Coaching and Consulting.

Run Like You’re Being Chased… Driving Optimal Business Performance
Ed Paradowski, President, Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation

There is a natural intensity that exists in a for-profit business that comes from free market competition. Technology has only increased the pace and pressure that free markets create, and real time adjustments are necessary, not only to thrive, but in many cases to just survive.  In this session, we will discuss different strategies for association CEOs to replicate this intensity and deliver maximum business performance in the association environment.

Ed has served as President of Apache Stainless Equipment since 2010. Prior to that, he spent 7 years at Kohler Company, and 7 years as an entrepreneur running his own manufacturing company. In addition, Ed is currently a board member for the Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing and Productivity, where he serves as chair. Ed currently teaches in the adult education program at Wisconsin Lutheran College, and he is extremely active in the Wisconsin Regional Career Pathways project since its inception in 2015.

Ed is a native of Milwaukee and attended Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School and received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Ed has 4 daughters, 2 in the UW system and 2 at Port Washington High School.
