Welcome and Keynote Presentation
Artificial Intelligence: An End to Work as We Know It
Nick Myers, Founder & Creative Director, RedFox Creative\

Work as we know it is about to change. For years humans have been tied down by the mundane tasks within the realm that we have come to know as “work”. However, a new frontier in how we think about and how we practice work is emerging that will disrupt everything we have come to know about the typical 9 – 5.

The rise of Artificial Intelligence is ushering in a paradigm shift that is expected to surpass both the Iron Age and the Industrial Revolution combined. Ever job in every industry is going to change as the age of AI begins to take hold.

In this thought provoking session you will:
• Learn about the current state of AI and where the technology is headed.
• Understand what AI and The Singularity mean for the world of work and how every job in every industry is going to change.
• Learn about the core industries that Ai is rapidly disrupting.
• Learn about how you can start preparing today to ensure that you and your organization is ready for the AI era.

Nick has worked extensively with Artificial Intelligence, specifically voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, to help brands create unique one-to-one engagements with their customers and target audiences. Nick is a TedX speaker and has spoken across Wisconsin and the U.S on topics ranging from 360 video, social media strategy, AI, and voice assistant technology. In August, Nick will be traveling to Sydney, Australia to speak at the Social Media Marketing Awards and Summit on how AI and voice assistants can be combined with social media to help brands generate unique experiences for customers.

Creativity on Cue - Creative Power Tools for Anyone Who Needs to be Capital 'C' Creative NOW!
D.P Knudten, Chief Collaborator, COLLABORATOR Creative

In today's crowded market, cut-through creativity is needed for everything you do. Whether it's planning mind-blowing meetings; attracting hordes of past (and brand new) attendees to your events; marketing, recruiting and engaging your current membership; or serving products and services to the thousands of associations out there, to demand attention in our increasingly 'shiny object' culture, on-demand creativity is a must.
In this highly informative, entertaining, and most importantly, actionable presentation, long-time Creative Director, author and podcaster D.P. Knudten will share a 'you can do it' toolbox full of tips, tricks, and techniques that can help you churn out great ideas every time you need them. Don't miss this fast, fun, informative, and immediately actionable presentation—because your success depends on it!

D.P. has worked on some of the biggest—and smallest—brands in the business including Coca-Cola®, The Athlete’s Foot®, ClosetMaid® and Georgia-Pacific®. His résumé includes tenures at DDB Needham (Chicago), McCann Erickson (Atlanta) and creative shops in Denver, CO; Sarasota, FL; and Madison, WI. A writer by trade, he enjoys playing in the intersection between the visual and the verbal, and using his NonFiction Branding™ approach to move people—and product—for companies throughout the United States.  D.P. cut his branding teeth in the trenches at McCann Erickson creating a variety of work for Coca Cola and their brands. You will never see him drink a Pepsi product, ever. From there, he’s worked on a wide array of brands from the prosaic (Georgia Pacific forest products) to the poetic (HelpHOPELive), and the no-nonsense B2B (Honeywell) to the wet & wild B2C (Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort). His personal favorite: Southeastern Guide Dogs of Sarasota, Florida. Ask him to see the TV spots. If you love dogs, you’ll love them.

The Big Dance: Meetings Contracts that Make you Look Like a Hero
Janeé Pelletier, MBA, CMP, DES, Vice President of Communications & Events, Learning Undefeated

Flawless logistics are no longer the measure of a successful meeting. Associations rely on the revenue produced by meetings and events, which means that meeting planners are under increasing pressure to guarantee both logistical and financial success. In this seller’s market, managing the financial exposure of your contracts is more vital than ever.
This session will allow participants to move beyond logistics into strategic financial management of your meetings. Learn how to put your best foot forward in RFPs to communicate the full value of your business and negotiate favorable financial terms for key contract clauses. Practice negotiation skills in a hands-on scenario that encourages partnership between planners and suppliers. Use real hotel contract clauses to determine how you can make your contracts stronger.

Learning Objectives:

• Write a winning RFP that communicates the full value of your business, so you can achieve the best financial package for your contract
• Diagnose and negotiate key financial hot spots including sliding scale room rental, F&B performance, cumulative attrition, and other key financial elements
• Hone negotiation skills in a peer-to-peer role play activity
In addition, walk away from this session with
• A template with sample contract terms that you can use for your next negotiation.
• A battle-tested meeting budget Excel worksheet that adjusts variable costs based on changing registration numbers.
• Language and skills to represent your association and your meeting with confidence during financial and contract negotiations.
• The Cheapskate’s Guide to Saving Money on your F&B.

Who Should Attend
This session is perfect for meeting planners, executive directors and any association staff that needs to know how to plan for the strategic financial management of their meetings and events. Industry suppliers will benefit from attending too – it’s a great networking and information sharing opportunity!

Janeé Pelletier, MBA, CMP, DES is an accomplished meeting executive and strategist for nonprofit and high-tech clients. In her 15+ years of meetings leadership, Janeé has successfully managed hundreds of conferences across North America, Europe, and Asia. Janeé has extensive communications and logistics expertise including the development and deployment of international road show events, complex technical exhibits, art installations, and conventions of more than 5,000 attendees.
